WHAT IS PERSONAL STYLE?
Wtf is personal style, & what position does it play in your professional business?
I know you’ve all probably seen the COUNTLESS TikTok’s regarding your personal style & how crucial it is for you to have your own rather than following the crowd and just buying what’s trending right now…
I both agree & disagree with this revelation.
For one yes, I agree everyone should feel encouraged & inspired to find their personal style - aka what they feel the most comfortable in.
HOWEVER, not everyone feels the same way towards fashion as your favorite fashion influencer does on TikTok. For some people, following the trends they feel the most comfortable in isn’t the worst thing in the world. If you feel like you gravitate towards a specific trend - try it out!
When it comes to your business - I think it reflects the same.
If you’re someone who prides themselves in creating original graphics, paves their own creative direction & creates the trends - then good for you babe.
If you’re on the opposite end & you’re someone who likes to implement all of the newest and hottest new trends into your business - then that is your prerogative!
Here’s the thing, everyone has their own personal style if they choose to follow the trends or not…
It’s 2022 - we need to stop shaming people for going with the crowd. There’s nothing wrong with it if that’s what makes you feel the most confident!
While I’m someone who likes to dabble in some trends, but still has a general blueprint of what is/isn’t my style - who the fuck am I to tell someone they don’t have their own personal style if they only follow trends?
