When I was younger, tracing all the way back to high school and college - I looked at feedback as a literal insult.
Whether it was from my teachers, professors, or a former boss - if they had any sort of constructive feedback for me, I looked at it as if I did something wrong…
I would figure at that point throw the whole damn thing away.
However, after being in a space like the online business space, I quickly realized how IMPORTANT feedback is for the sustainability of my business - I work/worked with the most amazing clients, and having them give effective feedback in the work I create and the process in which work is sooo beneficial for me.
It’s like having a free audit on your own business!
Think about it - if you never received any sort of feedback, how do expect to improve your business? It’s easy to hold yourself up to specific standards, but how good can something be if there’s only one review from one perspective?
Whenever you feel like you start to take feedback as a personal attack - look inward… it’s probably your perfectionism that is fed by your ego.
& trust me, your ego will be your own worst enemy - I know mine is!
